Merry Christmas!!!

 Hello Family,

Well it was great to talk to you last night, I wish that Jake and Laralee could have been there as well! But, I guess I'll see them soon enough! But I forgot to mention something to all of my nieces and nephews! Something WEIRD happened and when I was opening my Christmas presents this morning, I found a bunch of presents for all of my nieces and nephews underneath the Christmas tree!!!! Santa must have forgotten to give them to you and accidentally left them in Nebraska! CRAZY!!! But, I will make sure to bring them home with me so you can open them!

Here are some pictures from this last week.

Do you remember how I was at one point going to go home on December 19? Well, it's been crazy because it seems like every single day after December 19 has been one of the greatest days EVER. Just when I think it can't get any better. It is so awesome. Heavenly Father knows us so well and knows what we need. I am so grateful for Him.

Elder Watson told me he called you. He said it was crazy at our house and that he could hear all of the grandkids screaming in the background. That's fun.

I also attached the script for the training we did this last Saturday. It was so SO SOSOSOSOSOSO good. There was such an incredible Spirit there it was incredible. There is so much love for everyone that is here right now, and that's really special. You should read it. It's called the Women Who Knew Jesus.

Oh my gosh, I'll have to send you another picture of me singing with this family band that came in. Elder Watson made me go up and sing with them- it was so much fun!

We went to South Dakota this week for Zone Conference. MY LAST ONE! Weird. It was a great meeting and so fun to be with all the missionaries for a special Christmas training. What a great thing.

I can't believe I will only send one more email. This doesn't feel real at all. But, when I look back to when I first got here, it seems like SO long ago! This has been the best decision I have made in my life thus far and I am so thankful that Heavenly Father knows us and cares about us. This Church is true and it has been such a great experience to be a missionary and representative of not only the Church, but of Jesus Christ Himself. He has blessed me and strengthened me in more ways than I can describe or even know.

I love our family. I love the time that we share with one another. I hope that when I go home that we can continue to progress as a family as we spend time together, serve each other and strengthen each other spiritually. Thank you for getting me here on this mission and supporting me the whole way. I will forever be indebted for your selfless service.

I love you all. I thank you.

Love,
Sister Proctor

I will see you on skype NEXT WEEK!!!

 Hello Family!

So, first things first. Skyping would work best for me if I were to do it on Christmas Day. But, if we can't get a hold of Jared, then I'll figure out how to do it on Christmas Eve.

I cannot believe Eve cut her own hair. And right before Laura's wedding. hahaha. Oh man, I'm sure Laura was freaking out.

We have had a great week once again. Things have been really busy at the Trail Center. Currently we have 6 school buses full of kids here. It's nuts. Everyone loves the Gingerbread Festival. A lot of the people from the clinic have come and that has been really awesome. I was able to take this one guy on tour on Sunday who was at the dinner that we sang at last weekend. He ended up taking a Book of Mormon and then asked when Church was. It was awesome. I really like being BOLD with people. It's awesome :)

I attached some pictures from that dinner that we performed at last week. We did a lot of singing. We performed at GB, and then again at the mall yesterday. But, with the exception of singing at the convent on Christmas Eve we are all done with performing, and I am kind of relieved!!! It's been an awesome opportunity, but planning them has taken a lot of work!

Thursday was my last time at the clinic. It was sad to say goodbye! I sure loved the service I was able to give there and the people I met. It was so great!

We finished the Official Mormon Trail Center Missionary Handbook. It's kind of a big deal. Just like we have the regular handbook, we now have one for the Trail Center. It's pretty awesome.

We had some great lessons this week. We taught Diane a lot about the Atonement. I am so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I am grateful that it not only redeems, but also enables. I have felt that so much as I have been serving here. What a wonderful, beautiful gift from our Heavenly Father. I am so grateful to know that we can always be made better.

Some members showed us this awesome video. I am sure that you have heard about it, but if not-- go on youtube and search "called to serve sisters unite" and watch it. It is so AWESOME! Deciding to serve a mission was the best choice I could have ever made at this point in my life. I am so grateful for the the blessings that have come and the lessons that I have learned. I know my Savior more. I know my Heavenly Father. I am more converted to the gospel. I know how to be a better friend, a better family member, a better disciple. What a great Christmas present to me.

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have gotten so close to my Savior by reading the Book of Mormon.

I love my FAMILY! They are incredible people who have loved me through it all. I will be forever grateful for the love and service that my family has provided for me.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. I am excited for everyone to have such a good Christmas. I am excited to skype with you all next week and then to see you in real life the week after!

I love you all!

Love,
Sister Proctor

P.S. Did you already do the chocolate dipping party? Because maybe all the chocolates you sent me got lost in the mail.... ;)

CHRISTMAS

Hi Family!

What a great week this has been! I say that every week... but that's because every day is great here! Some highlights from this week:

Our CDs came back from production. THEY LOOK AWESOME. I can't wait for all the Sisters to open them up on Christmas Eve.

December 7th was Pearl Harbor Day and I got to celebrate it with a Sister from Japan. You can see our "peace making" picture attached hahaha

We wanted to give the Senior Couples a nice gift, and Sister Arnold's Sis in law hooked us up with free books from Deseret Book! So awesome!!!

We had Zone Leader Council. That was a lot of fun and very cool.

We sang at another Gingerbread Performance.

Getting a package from Mom/Sister Graham, courtesy of Steve Scott. We loved the package PS.

Finding out that this one lady that I took on tour and offered a copy of Joy to the World is now a progressing investigator in Mississippi. Super awesome!

Awesome Lesson with Diane on the Atonement. She set her OWN commitments. So great.

We did service at the Catholic Convent.

We went to a dinner with the Commercial Club of Florence and accepted the "Community Betterment award." We also sang a few songs. It was really really cool! A lot of people felt the Spirit and said we were glowing as we were singing and talking to them. It was all in this really awesome old house called the Fort Crook house. It was a General's house and would be used for parties. It was so fun! I felt like I was in Little Women. This super nice old house. Dinner party. Singing. What a dream. We have such a cool way to do missionary work! I can't even stand it. We sat at the head table and everyone was asking us about what we do. So awesome.

Today we had Watson Wagon. We went and saw the GB at Kanesville Tabernacle. That was a lot of fun! Then we went shopping! Christmas shopping! All I got was wrapping paper... oh man. I'm not very good at shopping anymore :)

The pictures included are my Pearl Harbor peace picture and the pic of me and Sis Arnold in our matching Christmas PJs. They are the best!

I can't believe that everyone and their dogs are going on missions! That is so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not going to LDSBC.

I want to Skype on Christmas at pretty much whenever works best for Jared.

I can't believe you got my flight plans. That is crazy.

Oh man, I'm so bummed about Disneyland plans being cancelled. Oh well. Hopefully it happens in September or October!

Yeah, super cool that I met that guy from Isaac's mission! He said he served in Khabarosk or whatever and so I asked if he knew Isaac. Way cool. It was nice that Isaac was a good missionary and that he was just spouting out all of these good things about him. It would have been so embarrassing if Isaac was a dud and I found out in front of all of my friends here :) Way to be Isaac! I'm sure people would say the same things about Jared and Jake. I've got some good brothers.

Welp, we still have to go do EVERYTHING for P-day. Have a great week and I look forward to hearing from you all soon!!!

Love you all,
Love,
Sister Proctor

December 3, 2012

Hello Family!

Christmas is in the air and I am loving it!!! It hasn't even snowed here yet. It kind of flurried, but it's been great. It's like 60 degrees too, which is awesome. Awesome for missionaries, not awesome for all the farmers since Nebraska was in a huge drought this summer and probably will be next summer...

I got an awesome package from Michelle! It was fun to see some of those videos! I plan on watching them all today. They were pretty hilarious and fun to see the kids. Thanks to the best nieces and nephews in the world for that awesome shirt! I love it!

This week was great, we went to the eye doctor to figure out Sis. Arnold's eyes, and he couldn't figure out anything, but when we were in the clinic that night, one of the pharmacists said that when you turn the furnace on then it dries out your eyes and so we got a humidifier and all was well! Super convenient. We did a Christmas performance at the clinic. Everyone there LOVED it! Oh my gosh, the head doctor there is SO nice. He love Sister Arnold and I. He got us tickets to this Beatles tribute band because Sis. Arnold had mentioned that she liked the Beatles. Obviously, we can't go, but it was so nice of him.

We found an awesome part member family that is so great! They have two little boys who are so sweet and they have a bunch of Mormon friends and so they loved having us over there. Pray for them. Pray that we will be able to teach them and get them baptized!

On Saturday we had a super awesome training about Gratitude. We had several sisters share experiences about Gratitude. I shared Alma 26:16. I still can't get through that verse without bawling. Like Jared mentioned in his letter, we have SO MUCH to be grateful for!

I hope you all watched the First Presidency Devotional. It was SO good!!! Oh I love listening to our Prophet and Apostles. Their messages were so good! If you didn't watch it last night, watch it tonight for Family Night.

Speaking of Christmas, it is going to be our P-day so we can skype pretty much anytime. I would like to skype with Jared... in fact I was wondering what you thought about me just spending most of my time skyping with Jared, since I will see you 10 days later... :|

Let me have one moment of being trunky-- Yesterday was Fast Sunday, and I realized that next Fast Sunday I will be home and I will be able to make a delicious dessert!! ahhh! Crazy. Also, can we please go to Cafe Rio on the way home from the airport? Enough about that.

Sorry if my letter is really scatterbrained, I'm emailing back and forth with Laura right now.

Jared's letter inspired me to write one like His: Sometimes it gets kind of cold at night, and I have to get out of bed to turn on my electric blanket- but some people don't have an electric blanket. Sometimes, I get sick of eating out all the time, but some people don't even have Senior Couples to take them out to dinner. Sometimes, I don't like having to pay quarters to do laundry, but the Laundry Room is just down the stairs and it only takes an hour to wash and dry all our clothes. Sometimes, it's hard to fall asleep worrying that I'm going to roll off the bed, but then I realize, that some people don't have two mattresses to make their bed extra high and extra comfy. Sometimes, the iPad's screen gets really dirty looking, but some people don't even have iPads. Sometimes, it's hard to deal with all the fame and the popularity, but some people don't even get to sing in Malls once a week :)  Hahahah! Obviously it's a bit sarcastic, but oh what a difference between my mission and Jared's mission. And yet, somehow, we are still doing the same great work. Different conveniences, but the same work. That's cool.

Welp, I love you all! Keep up the good work!

When is the Christmas Chocolate party and do I get any of it?!

Do you have the Christmas tree up yet? please keep it up through January :)

I love you all!

Love,
Sister Proctor

1- Elder Watson bought a Popcorn popper then didn't want it, so he gave it to me. It's awesome and I'm totally bringing it home.

2- My awesome Christmas present that I apparently opened up too early :)

Hi Family

Hello!

Thanks for your letters and your pictures! I hope Isaac and Taniel get that house! It looks so cute!

It was so fun to see Uncle Steve and Aunt Kathy! Sister Pryde took them on tour and then called me and said there were some visitors there for me. Fortunately (for this situation, unfortunately otherwise), my companion was sick, so we were just down at our apartment rather than far away out in our area. So we came up and they told me to go into the theater. Sister Pryde wouldn't tell me who it was. I was figuring it would be some obscure person-- oh yeah-- Someone from Isaac and Taniel's ward came in this week too and said Hi to me.. anyway, so I walk into the theater and there they are!!! It was so fun to see them again! They are so sweet to come and see the Trail Center and see me. I think my favorite part was that it just was nice to have family around and to get excited to see all of you again soon! It was so sweet of them and I'm glad that they came in!!!

Thanksgiving was great! We started the day by "gratitude attacking" all of the Senior couples. For the last few weeks, every sister has made a leaf that says what she is grateful for for every senior couple, then we taped them on their doors on Thanksgiving morning. They all loved it! Then we came back and made some green bean casserole then went to the Trail Center. We got to watch the movie BRAVE! That was crazy!!! It was weird to watch real movies, but very fun. Anyway, then we had a big dinner with everyone- complete with nut cups. Then we had a musical performance by all the sisters and then we watched the Best Two Years. It was a lot of fun. It was such a great Thanksgiving!

Then the next day we had to make the new TC schedule with all of the Gingerbread and Mall Performances. It was so crazy to organize it! But it's all done! Woohoo! Then we were inside for the rest of the week because Sister Arnold's eye was going crazy! It was super swollen and hurt her pretty bad- we went to the Doctor this morning and it turns out she had a minor infection, but we've got some antibiotics and she will be fine.

Anywho...

I am so tired and all I want to do is take a nap :)

I'm impressed with Jared for sending such a long letter. And, yes, Mavis Beacon typing games did help- a lot hahaha.

This week in pictures:

1-Last week we dyed Sis Arnolds hair- for the first time and made Monster Pops- courtesy of Michelle

2- One of the nut cups :)

3- Sis. Arnold and I sitting down to watch Brave

Mom asked about what I want in a Christmas package-- I don't totally want any Christmas presents, I rather just have money to pay for my phone bill when I get home or buy new clothes. I won't really be able to pack a lot of it home anyway. But, if we're talking PRE-Christmas packages, then I would love matching Christmas jammies for me and Sis. Arnold. That's really all I can think of.

On Sunday, we were asked to perform a musical number for one of the nearby wards. They've never had a musical number so Sis. Arnold and I went and she played the piano while I sang. The ward LOVED it. We did a medley of If the Savior Stood Beside Me and Teach Me to Walk in the Light. It was great. The Bishop went around afterwards asking for people to volunteer to have a musical number because they liked them so much! Awesome.

I'm sorry this letter isn't better... I'm super tired and I still have to write a letter to President. I love you all a lot! Please keep emailing me and sending me letters/pictures :) You're the best family in the world. This gospel is true and I have never been happier.

Love,
Sister Proctor

5- Aunt Kathy and Uncle Steve!
6- Someone's investigator gave a ton of hot chocolate packets to all of the Sisters here. It was just like being at home having so many delicious hot chocolate options.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hello FAMILY!

Another crazy week! We have had a fun week with things going on a t the Trail Center! I got to go on exchanges with Sister Atkin, which was so fun because she actually went home this morning so it was fun to spend time with her before she left- she was honorably released... hahah it kind of sounded like she just peaced out. This week is transfers week, but we won't actually hear what is happening until tomorrow. I think I might actually stay with Sister Arnold! AHHH! I had a dream last night that we got transferred though and that I had to be companions with an Elder. I was really mad because I didn't want to have to be surrounded by an Elder all the time hahaha. Anyway, pretty funny.

We have performed in a lot of places this week. We went to a homeless shelter on Friday night and sang there. They loved us! We performed in Gingerbread and then at the mall! hahaha It was so much fun!

Oh, some one that I taught in Millard got baptized on Saturday! That was exciting!!! His wife was baptized just a few weeks after I left and now he came around! How cool! They are excited to go to the temple. How awesome!

I was sick again. Ugh. On Sunday after church when we were coming back to the TC to work I started feeling it. It was awful. I feel a lot better today but I have been pretty sick these last couple of days. It's super annoying. I feel like I have never gotten sick more in my life. But, that happens to a lot of people in Nebraska for some reason. Weird. Also, I'm running around like a chicken with it's head cut off for most of the time so maybe that has something to do with it. haha.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I am SO excited!!! We are not allowed to go out and proselyte, so in the morning we are going to go "gratitude attack" the Senior couples with little notes that we have written for them. Then, we are going to come to the Trail Center and help set up for Thanksgiving, maybe watch some movies, play games, eat dinner- I am making Green Bean Casserole... yummmm... I am excited. It should be a lot of fun! There will be about 60 people there. Oh- this week while I've been sick, Sister Arnold and I made nut cups- Sarah would be so proud of me ahahah. They are so great!

Pictures:

1- Singing at GB

2- Sis. Arnold made muddy buddies for the first time!!!

3- When I was sick, Sister Arnold would blow dry my hair for me. This looks freakishly like the back of someones head haha

4- Sister Atkin and I last night at the testimony meeting for the departing missionaries. I am going to miss her SO much.

Um... this news about Disneyland sounds like the best thing in the WORLD! I wish everyone could come though! That will be so much fun!!!!

When does Laura come back from Italy? I am so jealous. That lucky girl.

This week has been really great and I am excited for this next week. I love Thanksgiving and I can't wait to share with everyone that I meet the thing that I am most grateful for!!! The Restored Gospel!!! What a great thing!

Remember that I am so grateful for all of you and that I love you!!!

Love Always,

Sister Proctor

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

 Hi Family!!!

Christmas is in full swing!!! The smell of Gingerbread is coming up through the stairs and the Trail Center is all decked out for Christmas, as you can see from the pictures. So fun!!

I'm excited for Jared to be a Zone Leader! He's getting called to be one just as I'm getting released! More than likely next transfer I will no longer be a TC Leader and Sis. Arnold and I won't be companions. Which is super sad, but I know it will be great nonetheless.

I hope you got the package with the quilt today. Don't worry about giving that CD to Claudia, she already gave us everything that we need! Pretty cool!

Last Tuesday on Election day, no one came in. So we watched the election results on one of the Senior Sisters iPads. It was stressful. Then at like 1020 that night, both her and Elder Watson called me to let me know the final result. Crazy crazy. We spent that day and the next day in the Trail Center. Then on Thursday we had Zone Conference. It was SO good! We read over Elder Bednar's talk from this last Conference called "Converted unto the Lord." It was seriously SOOO good! The difference between a testimony and conversion is so crucial. We all left wanting to become even more converted to the gospel. On Friday we got to go to the temple (this was one spiritually packed week!), it was so great. The temple just got done being remodeled and it was so good be be there again. The next time I go there will be when Steve from Millard goes through the temple and then on January 3. WEIRD. I'm excited to go there with Steve. What a wonderful blessing. On Sunday, guess who came to the Trail Center-- the KMIECIKS!!!! They were that awesome convert couple in Millard who I spent so much time with, even Thanksgiving Day. Anyway, they were driving the Millard Sisters to the Trail Center from Church and they wanted to come in to see if I was there and I was! It was so good to see them again! They were baptized just a week before I got into Millard and so they felt like my recent converts. This last August they went to Utah and went through the temple and were sealed!!! It was so great! They said they loved it! Then we watched God's Plan for Happiness with them, which was so great. They are so on fire with the gospel still. They said that this month they have already gone to the temple 3 times. Oh how I love them!

Well, this week will be crazy. This Saturday we start our first Christmas performance at the Gingerbread Festival, then on Monday we have one at one of the Malls. Nuts! Oh my gosh, I almost forgot!!! Last Monday, the Seniors had their monthly Senior Dinner. They always have a musical number and a bunch of the Senior Elders got together to do a Barbershop Quartet, but alas in their older age none of them could hit any of the high notes, so they needed a tenor. And who was the lucky one who got recruited?! ME. hahahaha So funny. It was total social suicide. I have a video of it and I will show it to you when I get home. They said it was a Barbershop Trio with a Beautician. hahaha It was so funny.

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is next week! I can't believe that Laura is going to ITALY!!! I couldn't be more jealous.

I can't believe you got so much snow! We haven't gotten ANYTHING!!!! But, it is freezing now. Yikes.

Oh yeah, so I know Michelle expressed interest, but I am wondering if anyone else would like me to get Christmas presents for their kids? I was thinking it would be fun to tell them on Skype that Santa left some presents for them in Nebraska... anyway, think about it and let me know.

Well, I love you all. Read the talk from Elder Bednar. Know that I love you and that I love this mission!

Love,
Sister Proctor

We're the Missionaries, We can Help!!

 Hello Family,

First off, Sister Jasper says Hi. And she would like to thank you for giving her the greatest gift-- me.  Hahahah she is hilarious. I hope you all had a fun Halloween! I loved the pictures! We had a fun Halloween here too. It started off with Sister Arnold making Halloween shaped pancakes.

There is a picture of them- you can't even tell what they are, but it was really fun. Also, the day before we found PUMPKIN PIE PRINGLES!

They are actually pretty good. Then w worked all day in the Trail Center until we closed at 5. No one came in and we got pretty restless from eating a lot of candy, so we dressed up like pioneers and learned how to lasso from one of the sisters here who used to work on her ranch. Then I showed them how to hog-tie because I have seen Dad do it to Jared so many times hahaha. It was great.

Then we had a big dinner with all the senior couples, then we made a Christmas craft to send to you. It's pretty good, you'll love it. Then we watched the Errand of Angels- remember that movie? I never wanted to watch it before my mission because it was about Sister Missionaries, but once I came on a mission I totally wanted to see it hahaha. Anyway, it was pretty funny/ very dramatic but fun. Then the rest of the week, we drove out to Wahoo, NE to pick up some sisters out there to take them to the doctor, worked in the clinic, had Zone Leader Council.

Then we went to dinner at a members house and they have a German exchange student there and so we taught her about the Book of Mormon and even had her read a German BOM. It was awesome! We even tried reading it... hahah it was funny. Anyway, the members she was with sent her on the plane with her own copy. Pretty cool. Then we went and taught some Less-Actives. They are really working hard to go back to the temple. It was a really powerful lesson, and then on Sunday the wife got up and bore her testimony about the Priesthood, that was pretty awesome.

The rest of the week was spent working in the Trail Center, with the exception of the night that our one investigator dropped us. That wasn't very fun, but the good thing about people dropping you is that God has prepared even more people for you to find.

On Saturday at training Sis Arnold and I performed a song we had figured out the night before. I sang "Heavenly Father loves me" while she accompanied on the ukulele. It was fun and really cute. We got a video of it that I will have to show you.

This morning we went and raked leaves for our Bishop. It is freezing outside. I'm surprised it hasn't snowed yet, it is really gray and cloudy and just looks like it's ready to dump on us. I can't believe it's November.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!!! Woohoo!!!

Well, I'm glad that Fakesgiving was a success. I was telling Sister Arnold this morning about that awesome Turkey recipe of Michelle's. haha. When I asked her in comp study what she learned in personal study, she said she learned a lot about turkey recipes hahah ooops.

Do you like that picture I sent you? We found a sign that said "We can help" and we couldn't resist it. (you can't resist this, you can try to, but it ain't gonna happen!) -- that was for Laura.  Anyway, we were laughing.

Well, things are going swimmingly. We are about to start the Gingerbread Festival and then we'll have Thanksgiving which I'm super excited for. I am still being incredibly spoiled by all of the Senior Couples here. They love us all so much and I am grateful for them.

I am spoiled by all of you. Thank you for your love and your support. I know I say that every week, but that is because I FEEL it every day, so thank you!

I'm excited to hear from all of you next week!
Love,
Sister Proctor

P.S. I LOVE that Christmas music is playing on the radio! That's the best!

Happy Halloween

Dear Family,

Thanks for the letters and pictures this week. I can't believe that Laura went to Disneyland-AGAIN! This is getting ridiculous! Also, I can't believe it snowed! We still haven't had any snow here and it hasn't even been all that cold. I'm hoping that winter waits to come until January 5. We'll see though :)

Pictures:
1- Guess who came back to visit! Me and Sister Myers! Crazy!

2- AAAND Sister Hawkes! It was so good to see them again. I am so grateful for the friends I have made here

3- I have had a stye on my eye for WEEKS and it's the worst! Luckily, the Doctors at the clinic gave me some prescription eye drops and told me to put heat on it. Those HOT HANDS sure do come in handy :)

This week has been CRAZY

On Tuesday one of the Sisters was super sick and at 8 at night, she decided she needed to go to the hospital (she's dealt with this for a while) and so we called our Mission Mom and she didn't answer, the Watsons were in the temple, and we couldn't get a hold of President. So Sister Arnold and I took her to the ER. First of all, there are a lot of people who go to the ER who do not have EMERGENCIES. We waited 2 hours in the lobby! I was super mad because I just wanted to make sure that she was OK. Then, we finally got in a room and then waited for another 1 1/2 hours. Luckily she was OK and they were able to get her some pain medicine to help her. I turned into a total Momma bear and was ready to freak out if they weren't going to help her. We ended up leaving there at about 130 in the morning. It was nuts. Elder Watson was with us for a little bit in the lobby and he was very proud of the "mother" I was :)

On Wednesday we slept in until 1030 because we were so stinking tired. Then we went and helped a Senior couple set up the printer in their apartment and they took us out to lunch. I love them so much. All of the Senior couples are just SOOO great! Then Elder Watson had me go to the hospital with another sister to try and get her some financial aid- she has rheumatoid arthritis and has to get tested each month. He wanted me to go so I could be her spokesman I guess. It was good and I was very happy to help her out.  The rest of the week was pretty good. On Saturday we had the Temple President and His wife come and give us our weekly Trail Center Training. It was PHENOMENAL. They are so great! Then Sister Hawkes and Sister Myers came! It was so fun to spend time with them. I love them so much! Then we spent some time talking with some other sisters and Senior Couples that are having a hard time. I really feel like they are my investigators and I want to take care of them. It's a cool way to do missionary work- as well as still being out in our area and teaching people there.

I feel grateful that Heavenly Father has given me this opportunity to serve the other sisters. I feel like a Relief Society President on steroids or something. Anyway, it's really great and is providing me with a lot of learning experiences and opportunities for growth and service.

So, with this huge increase in missionaries, word on the street is that we are going to get A TON of sisters starting in January. Elder Watson was telling me about this, and then another Senior Elder was asking about when we wanted to go out to dinner as a farewell thing,  and for the first time EVER, I felt totally sad and mad that I was going to be going home. I guess I just figured that I would move on with life and things here would remain the same. Although, I am glad that the work is progressing and things are changing, but I just wish I could be there for a part of it. So, here's what I need you all to do-- Remind me of why going home is such a great idea :) Don't get me wrong, I am excited to see all of you and play with you, but right now the thing that is more at the forefront of my mind is being sad to miss out on all the huge changes here. It's been a while since I've gotten a hand-written letter-- and I know that I've been terrible at writing you real letters, but that's because I don't have money for stamps. I know that I'm coming home soon, but I still want to feel remembered HERE. I'm sorry I'm so whiny. It's just hard to be away from your family and then realize that you are going to have to leave the family you have here.

Anyway, I love all of you, and I love this gospel. Thank you for living it. Thank you for being so good to me. Thank you for your love and your support. I love all of you!

Love,
Sister Proctor

Happy Birthday William!

Hello Family!

I hope you are all getting ready for a big fun party tonight to celebrate William's birthday. Are you going bowling again? Or fishing? haha. I hope you have a fun night and I can't believe that William is 7!!! I loved listening to his talk. He is so funny. Man oh Man, I love you all so much.

This week was great. The picture that I attached was from Sister Arnold and I about 5 minutes ago haha. It's great.

We got new computers for the Trail Center so I have been spending a lot of time setting those up. What a nightmare. But, it's almost all over...That night Diane came to the Trail Center which was so good! She really liked it and she is coming back tomorrow. Things are going so great at the Clinic. The people we work with are really opening up to us and asking us more and more questions. It is SO COOL! I really love serving there. We've been trying to get businesses to make Gingerbread Houses to donate them to the GB Festival, so we went around visiting them, that was fun. We had a really awesome training on Saturday morning. Sister Arnold and I made a slideshow of pictures of everyone with attributes of them that other missionaries had said to describe them. Everyone loved it and it was so cool. I love all the missionaries here. They have become some of my best friends and I am so grateful for the influence they have had on my life. Elder Watson was so nice that day and he said that I have changed the Trail Center in this time that I have been a Trail Center Leader. It is so nice to hear. Sometimes it's hard because we spend so much time in the Trail Center or doing things for the Trail Center, that we hardly ever go out to our area, but it's like our mission right now is to help the Sisters and the Seniors have successful missions as well. It's nice to be able to serve those that I love so much, while still being able to go out and find more people to teach as well. It's interesting to be a missionary during the election. I feel very privileged that Heavenly Father trusts me to do it. So many people come into the Trail Center, just because they want to know what Mitt Romney believes. It's been pretty cool. I took an awesome tour yesterday with some people that were just asking questions and it was awesome to be able to answer. Can I just say that I am so glad that I am a missionary for the TRUE church?! Otherwise, life would be pretty hard to not have simple and easy to understand answers haha. It's great!

So, I am SO GLAD to hear that the Christensens are moving!!!! That is great news!!! It will be awesome to have you so much closer! I'm assuming that things are going swimmingly with wedding plans? I loved the pictures of all the little girl dresses! They look so cute! Mom's a champ.

I don't have a lot else to say... Sorry. This letter might actually be shorter than one of Jared's. That will be a first. hahah

Know that I love you and that I love being here in Omaha. Heavenly Father is so good to all of us. I know the Church is true and I don't ever want to find out what my life would be like without it. I love you!

Love,
Sister Proctor

Oh, How I Love My Family

Dearest Darlingest Family,

I just want to start out by saying that I love you. Nothing huge happened that made me want to express this to you, but after reading your letters and seeing your pictures I just feel an overwhelming amount of love for every one of you. Our Family is so good. And I love being a part of it. Thank you for all that you do.

This week was a slower/crazy week. On Thursday we were still pretty sick and went out for a little bit, then had to rest and then work at the Trail Center. We also just had transfers, so we were busy making the new TC schedule and planning for new Sister Orientation. One of the new sisters knows Mitchell Wright. It was so fun to talk about all of the fun things we did. I have been blessed with great friends too!

We have been in the Trail Center all day everyday, our first night out in our area is tonight, and Sister Arnold and I are SO excited!!! There are a few reasons why we haven't been able to go to our area. You got the email from the Pharmacist Ron which makes me so happy. He is so great and he doesn't know it, but he is so close to embracing the gospel. It's really cool the impact that we have there at the Clinic. I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father gave us this opportunity. We have also been busy with Transfers, and then we had some Sisters get emergency transferred so we were busy talking with Elder Watson and President Weston. Then we've been busy planning out our Christmas performances. Did I tell you we are going to be performing at malls and stuff? Then at our gingerbread festival and then we'll have a fireside at the TC. It's been really awesome. So, we are still doing a TON of missionary work, but not in the normal knocking on doors kind of way. It's cool.

Pictures:
1- Playing with other Sisters' glasses
2- Me and Sister Brown- it was the end of her mission and she went home. Oh how I love her and all the sisters here.
3 &4- We got new beds and decided to double stack our mattresses so they are super high. and fun.

Laura had asked if I wanted to be a part of the Christmas name drawing thing... and it reminded me of this great idea. That is that anyone who wants to can send me 10 dollars out of their Child's Christmas Budget and I can get them a cool Nebraska souvenir as one of their Christmas gifts-- this isn't just for little kids, but for Mom too! I think it's a great idea... just let me know.  As far as being part of the Christmas name drawing... I would love to be a part of it... but I have $0 dollars to my name. But, I could make you coupons! hahaa or teach you how to talk to people on the street? haha I don't mind either way. Also, I think that I would rather you just save Christmas presents for when I come home. There's no point in you paying to ship them out and then me having to shove them in my suit case later.

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY TO MOM AND BRIAN!!! AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WILLIAM ON MONDAY!!!

I'm SO happy that I will have a phone when I go home!!! Ahhh I was so worried about that. Did T-Mobile and ATT join up yet? AKA... can I upgrade to and iPhone eventually? haha

FBI- I don't know if I'm going to Utah State anymore or if I'm doing music or what. We'll see what happens- but Michelle was talking about me trying one more time at the Y and I will probably do that, or just change my major all together. We'll see when I get home.

P.S. Whoever is in charge of my g-mail account (i think Laura) can you find a copy of my resume? It might also be just stored on my computer. Then, if you could email that to me that would be great. I've got to turn it in to Elder Watson. He made me a bit of a job offer to work for him at Ethan Allen just off 106th and this would be my dream come true... so I need to turn it in ASAP! I'm so excited!

This letter is a lot of business and logistics.... sorry, let me conclude with my testimony...
Heavenly Father knows us each so perfectly. I am amazed at how involved He is with every facet of each of our lives. He loves us with all the love and tenderness of a Father. Of all the things we could call Him --Master, Creator, King-- He wants us to call Him Father. How I love that. He has devised a plan for us to return to Him. It is through His Son, Jesus Christ-- Our Savior. How I have felt His grace and His love for me not only as I have been serving here, but throughout my whole life. This beautiful plan is the way for families to be happy and successful in this life and in the next. Oh, how it has blessed our family. Because Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to return to Him, He has always revealed His gospel through Prophets. Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet, called of God. I am so grateful that we were able to hear from Him last week. I know that Joseph Smith was also a Prophet and through Him, was the true Church of Jesus Christ restored. The Book of Mormon is true and has had such a profound influence on my life. When I read it, I get closer to my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I understand more of God's love for me and all His children. I have a greater desire to do the things that are right when I diligently study from the Book of Mormon. I know that it is true, because of the way it has blessed my life. Also, I know that because Heavenly Father loves us, He has sent His Spirit to communicate with us. How grateful I am for the promptings of the Spirit. How grateful I am to feel my Savior's love for me through the Spirit. This gospel is true, and there is no better place I could be right now.

I love you all so much. I hope you have a wonderful week. Your letters uplift and inspire me always. Thank you.

Love,
Sister Proctor

Is Hannah's New Favorite Number 19?!

Hi Family!!!

Well, this week was great! General Conference just makes life better. Oh, how I love it. I can't believe that they changed the age for missions! That is awesome!!! I'm excited to see the number of girls that go on missions now. Let's be honest, if this would have happened 4 years ago, I would have freaked out. Heavenly Father knew I couldn't handle it. But I'm glad that it's happening now. Sister Arnold pointed out something that will benefit us with the new age change-- and that is that when we go home, all the younger girls will be going on missions, rather than marrying all the guys that we could be dating. So this is great! haha I am excited.

Today was transfer day. Sister Arnold and I are staying together- woohoo! And we will both still be Trail Center Leaders. So by the end of this transfer I will have been TC Leader for 6 months! That's the longest anyone has been a TC leader. SO crazy, but I love it. It's really fun to serve the sisters this way. Ok, so this week:

Wednesday: We recorded some of our music- there is someone in the Council Bluffs stake that has all the studio recording equipment who is donating all of his time to help us record these songs. It's so awesome!!! Then that night, the Kiwanis Club of Florence that Elder Watson belongs to was having a changing of the guard or something and so they asked him if we could come and perform. So, Sister Arnold, Graham and I went. It seemed more like a night to honor the sisters for all their service at the Kiwanis pancake breakfast and at the clinic, and then about how extremely talented we all were. It is really cool. The Lieutenant Governor was talking to us, and he said he felt there was a reason why he had met us, and he wasn't quite sure what it was, but that he was excited to see what happened. It's crazy. Sometimes I feel like we are Church PR missionaries. Because we get to meet with a lot of influential people in the area and they all LOVE us and have a better taste in their mouth about the church.

Thursday: We worked again at the Clinic. They made Elder Watson promise that I would be there every week until I went home because no one can do the computer stuff faster. But, every week they ask more and more questions, and it's so GOOD! The pharmacist that I work right by is coming to the Gladys Knight concert this Friday. I am excited for him. He was excited when we invited him-- Did I tell you Gladys Knight was coming? It's like a big deal. She conducts a choir called Saints Unified Voices and they do a fireside thing and apparently it generates a million referrals, so I'm excited about it.

Friday: We had Zone Leader Council which was great and then we had dinner at a members house. They had a 7 year old and a 3 year old that reminded me so much of Heber and Eve it was awesome! They were so fun. Then we met with our Ward Mission Leader and the Elders to split our area, so it's like we each have our own areas. It's crazy. Our area is TINY now. It was already the smallest in the mission, and then we split it in half hahaah. But, it will be great!

Saturday: We had General Conference! It was awesome! The thing that stood out to me the most was that after serving a mission, making covenants, etc, you cannot go back to the way you were before! It's cool. I really liked that. I also really liked Elder Uchtdorf's talk on spending time where it matters the most. That is so good.

Sunday: Sister Arnold was sick, so one of the Senior Couples let us borrow their iPad to watch conference on- in our beds. It was hilarious and awesome. Such a great day. I love conference.
Monday: I was also sick, so Sister Arnold and I just slept ALL DAY LONG. It was really boring, but there's not much you can do about it.

Tuesday: This was another sick day. I was feeling better last night, but now this morning I kind of feel like I'm going to throw up. So that's great. Oh well, I'll just go home and sleep some more today.

So, tomorrow starts my 11th transfer. I only have 12. It's crazy. This means that 12 weeks from today will be my last P-day. I'm ready to work harder than ever and I'm excited. Another thing I got out of conference was how important it was to ACT and to SERVE with all you've got. And then to never go back. What a wonderful way to live your life. I'm excited. I love you all, and I hope you have a great week!

P.S. Tell Katelin congrats! and tell Sarah to DANG write me! She of all people should know this! haha

I love you!

Love,
Sister Proctor
