Move over HGTV

I have been living in the same house for 2 years now. And, for the last 8 months, I technically should have been using the downstairs bathroom. But, I hated it so much I would just stick with the upstairs one. Now that we have new roommates I thought it was best if I moved down to the bathroom I was supposed to use. But not before making it awesome!

Here is the Before pic:

Let's start from the beginning as to why I hate this.
-Ugliest shower curtain known to man.
-Sick purple color
-You can't really see it in the pic, but the walls were super uneven from everyone trying to plaster holes.
-The "white" is really dingy looking
-The wood cabinets have hopefully seen better days, they look really beat up when you are up close
-The random white wall
-No toilet paper roll holder
-No towel ring for a hand towel
-That sick weird pipe thing by the ceiling
-Really ugly, dirty rug

Ok, now here's what I did:
First, I sanded down all the walls to get rid of all the residue of other people trying to fix the problems
Then I sprayed and orange peel texture all over the walls
Then I removed a lot of the caulking
I painted the fake wood cabinets black
I painted that weird pipe by the ceiling with KILZ anti-mold paint
I painted the walls that purply red. 3 coats
I painted the baseboards
I re-caulked everything
I installed a towel ring and a toilet paper holder thing
I hung up a new cute shower curtain with a clean liner
Laid out the rug
Hung up the hand towel
and VOILA! A new cute bathroom! I really like it now.

Gym Rat

On January 18, 2010, Melodie, Sarah and I "changed our lives." We finally got gym passes to 24. I have not regretted it once. Whenever we don't have anything to do, we go to the gym instead of shopping or watching a movie or something. It's really great. Some of my favorite things about the gym include but are not limited to:

*Watching the Biggest Loser while doing cardio for 2 hours.

*The man who wears jean cut off shorts (which are unbelievably short, mind you), a tank top and a curly pony tail.

*The time Sarah and I were on the stair climbers and I look over and she is running up the stairs. I thought she was just really working it, so I was way proud of her. Then I look over again and she is hunched over on the top of it laughing. It turns out the machine malfunctioned, and started going ridiculously fast, and she couldn't hit the button to stop. So, she had to jump on top of it to finally turn it off. We were laughing SO hard!

*Right after this story happened, Sarah left the machine because she had just run up a million stairs at such a fast pace, and I couldn't stop laughing to myself. Then I would laugh even more thinking about what a dork I looked like laughing to myself.

*When I climbed 100 flights of stairs

*Listening to an unbelievable great mix of music

*Going to the yoga classes and being able to do the hard poses

*Being able to lift more than the boys sometimes

*Watching the girls that just stare at the boys the whole time. Puh-lease.

*When I biked a dang marathon

*Seeing the girls that come in all dolled-up. You know this is a gym, right?

*Trying out all the new machines

*The time the old man came up to me and told me I was on the machine backwards. No, actually I'm not. Thanks.

*Seeing the results of working out so much. Yes, I am starting to get a six pack, and my biceps are huge. I love it.

Anyway, I have been so happy ever since I got a gym membership. I recommend it to EVERYONE. In fact, if you want to try it out, let me know and I can email you a 24 day pass for free. It's seriously the best.
