Thanksgiving 2009

This Thanksgiving I wanted to give a special shout out to my wonderful family. They are an amazing family and I couldn't be happier. I made this video to tell them the reasons why I am thankful for them. Enjoy.

If that doesn't work, just copy and paste this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Upxtr74V4HM

Foul Odors

So, this semester, among other buildings, I work in the Talmage building as a tech support person. For some reason this building smells something FIERCE! I'm not saying the people in the building smell bad, just the building. I walk into that building and it's super humid and it smells like death. I don't know why. Just an observation.

My First Quilt!

With A LOT of help from my mom, I finished my first quilt! I used all of my old t-shirts from high school. I wanted some way to keep them and carrying them around in a bag or something would be just weird, so this was a perfect way to preserve my memories! My mom helped me figure out the layout and helped me cut them into squares. Then I had to iron each square on to some interfacing thing to make it not so floppy. Then I sewed it all together. Then my mom embroidered "Lone Peak Knights" and "Class of 2007." Then I pinned the back to the batting and the top, then my mom used her handy machine and quilted these cute swirly things on it. I love it! It's so comfy and so fun to have. I can't wait to start my college t-shirt quilt! Here it is!

And here is the sweet embroidery job my momma did:

100% Attendance... so far.

School has been in session for 28 days so far, and I have been to every SINGLE class. This is a big deal for me. I usually skip a few classes within the first week of school. I am hoping to have 100% attendance this semester. It's gonna be rough. But, I think I can do it.

Also, I cut 5 inches off my hair. It's still long, but not crazy long like it used to be. I like it though. Here is a picture I took in my office today on my computer. Enjoy.

Indecent Proposal

There I was, Monday afternoon walking across campus.
I was at work, and I had just finished moving a projector in the Talmage building.
I race out of the unbelievably bad smelling building and make my way towards the HFAC.
I'm walking fast, my hair blowing in the wind, my little feet shuffling.
When all of the sudden I'm stopped.
"Can I ask you a question?"
This isn't unusual to be stopped while walking across campus, so I comply.
Then, all of the sudden the stranger is down on one knee.
"Will you marry me?"
He holds out a sparkling ring.
Why in the heck are you doing this?
I ask in my mind, then I tell a simple lie:
"Sorry, I'm taken."

Top 25 Most Played

This blog post is inspired by my friend Darrell. He did it, and I was interested to see what my top 25 were.

Here they are from least to most amount played:

Catch My Disease- Ben Lee-21
Great song, very catchy. I'm surprised that it's on my 25 most played. I didn't
think I liked it that much.

Long Live Love- TJ McCloud-22
Ah yes. I fell in love with TJ McCloud for about a month.

Always Will Be Yours- TJ McCloud-22
Once again, my TJ McCloud love.

Love Story- Taylor Swift-22
Who hasn't listened to this a million times on repeat?

This Time- Jonathan Rhys Meyers- August Rush (Music from the Motion Picture)-22
This is a very chill song, great to fall asleep to.

Also a great fall asleep song

Love me some Jason Mraz.

And that's it. THAT was it.
